Seeing the Unusual
Finding unusual places and buildings is something of a holy grail for photographers. Yet we often overlook what is around us every day, only recognising the photographic value of a place when we travel abroad.
I took these photographs in Lithuania. The colourful wooden buildings immediately caught my eye, although to local people they are probably just part of the everyday landscape. It is a reminder that interesting subjects can be found almost anywhere—we just need to slow down and notice them.
People often ask what camera I use. The camera matters, but ultimately it is the quality of the lenses and the editing that create the finished result. I use Sony G Master lenses.
