A Slice of Lithuania: Capturing Cheese, Culture, and Countryside
I found myself at a delightful cheese festival in the Lithuanian countryside. I couldn’t help but channel my inner Wallace—“That’s a nice bit of cheese, that, Grommet!”
What began as a spontaneous detour on a travel break turned into a dream shoot for any photographer with a love for people, culture, and, yes… cheese. The warm sun, rolling fields, and rows of artisan stalls bursting with colour and character made it a truly unique experience.
As a professional photographer based in Rochdale and covering the whole of the North West of England, this festival was a refreshing reminder of why I fell in love with photography in the first place. Whether I’m shooting a wedding in the Lake District, a studio headshot in Manchester, or a quiet moment in a Baltic village, my goal is always the same: to tell authentic stories through beautiful images.
Travel photography like this also fuels my passion for teaching photography—something I’ll be offering more of in the near future. There’s something magical about capturing the everyday in extraordinary ways, and I can’t wait to help others see the world through that lens.
